Resort accommodations for your pooch
Silly or necessary, we?re suckers for spoiling our four-legged family members. And D Pet Hotels knows it. The new Chelsea outpost of the popular Hollywood dog resort takes pet care to a whole new level.
Its ipe-wood facade, sprawling lobby and specialty boutique are the ideal warm welcome before your pup is whisked off to one of three indoor dog parks--depending on your pooch?s size and personality. Day care starts at $45 a day, and add-on services at the gym (for overweight or elderly dogs that need supervised exercise) and spa (for premium grooming and even massages) are also on hand.
For overnight stay, three impeccable boarding options ensure that dogs feel right at home, thanks mostly to an individual flat-screen TV in each space tuned to channels like Animal Planet (or whatever you prefer). The Standard Suite ($79 a night, including day care) is about twice the size of an average kennel run (and costs the same). The Sensational Suite ($110) fits a twin-size bed for extended comfort. And the Uber Suite ($200) simulates the dog?s home environment entirely with a full bedroom set.
If you?re jetting off to somewhere fabulous, shouldn?t they?
