We’ve all been there: spending a valuable Sunday night trying to squeeze in at the inevitably packed nail salon. But a new in-office service just may help us all take back that hour of the weekend.
Manicube sends a fleet of manicurists to your workplace and sets up portable stations (the size of a rolling makeup case, equipped with OPI, Essie, Deborah Lippmann and Chanel polish) in a conference room or even right at your desk.
Magazine-stocked iPads are also on hand for your perusal. And since they work directly with companies’ HR departments, you’ll always be able to count on a regular date for trims and polish changes. Simply log on to your personal account through Manicube’s site to schedule an appointment and pay electronically (though cash is also accepted).
At $15 (for 15 minutes) a pop, we think it’s pretty revolutionary. But the philosophy extends beyond just promoting wellness within the NYC community: Manicube also donates $1 of every manicure to the women’s microloan organization, Kiva.
Companies like Gilt Groupe, Kiehl’s, Bonobos and Ogilvy have already hopped on board. And get this: If you’re the one to tip off your company’s HR department to Manicube, you’ll get free manis for a year. Really.
