Although we do our best to be locavores, it?s hard not to be skeptical about exactly where--and whom--our food is coming from when shopping at the corner market.

Luckily, husband-and-wife team Jeff and Emer Moore?s new organic-food delivery service puts us at ease.

Their opt-in CSA, Rustic Roots, works with local New York farmers to go beyond the fruits-and-vegetables model with a selection of organic meats, cheeses and milk. The goods arrive at your door within 24 to 48 hours of being ordered from the farm.

Customers can purchase products à la carte and order weekly or seasonal packages of assorted foodstuffs. We?re replenishing our bare cupboards with tagliatelle prepared by the Moores? partner chef ($10 a pound), a jar of wild-raspberry honey by Bee Raw Honey ($13 for 10.5 oz) and freshly ground decaffeinated Mexico Altura coffee ($14 a pound).

Keep some color on your plate with the ten-week summer share ($620) of rotating produce. From June through October, you?ll receive a weekly delivery of just-picked berries, apricots, cucumbers, eggplants and more.
