We'll never admit how many hours we've spent ogling the stunning goods on 1stDibs.com, the online antique store that sells everything from fine jewelry and vintage couture dresses, to paintings and handmade furniture.

So we (along with every interior designer in the tristate area) were thrilled to hear they had opened their first-ever store at the New York Design Center.

With more than 53 dealer booths, including The Way We Wore, Heir Antiques and Southampton's Stellar Union, 1st Dibs has turned the entire 10th floor of its new home into a veritable candy store of old-world artifacts. They've even carved out two spaces for rotating furniture-and-art exhibits, the contents of which are also for sale.

Big-ticket items, like French lamps from the 1920s and gilded jewelry boxes, are the lay of the land. And with a little digging, you can certainly find more affordable treasures, like this adorable needlepoint bag ($225). But browsing the booths and fantasizing about how that 19th-century Persian rug will look in our living rooms is part of the fun.

Every 1st Dibs item can be viewed online at 1stDibs.com and new pieces are listed daily. If you love something, be sure to act quickly: Just like the eras from which they came, these valuables are gone before you know it.
