Did you hear? Spring is kinda-sorta on the horizon, and with it are jaunts to Nantucket and cable-knit-sweatered excursions on your sailboat--or at least hanging around the city looking like you're the type to nurse Sea Breezes on the Cape.

Here to help in your quest for prepster perfection is Sperry Top-Sider's first New York store, which opened on Fifth Avenue earlier this month in a retail space fit for a shoe-loving sailor (toy ships and American flags abound).

Though leather ($80) and canvas ($75) boat shoes are the brand's bread and butter, we were quite taken with the prettier, more feminine options: white, quilted ballet flats ($98), work-ready loafers with a leopard-print finish ($98) and houndstooth moccasins with black ribbon bows ($65).

Our favorite find, however, was the new Milly for Sperry collection of kicky, retro-inspired heels and flats. We'd pair the straw-bottomed platform ($225) with a polo dress and floppy hat and the floral sneakers ($90) with casual cropped jeans.

There's even a children's section stocked with pint-size dockside fare, lest you were worried about options for your madras-clad offspring.
