Paris’s hottest fashion line lands in the West Village
It's only fitting that a Parisian fashion line unveils its first U.S. outpost at the tres chic intersection of Bleecker and Bank. Sandro, the French label adored for its elegantly offbeat dresses and separates, opened just last month--and already we can't get enough of the romantic clothing.
Hanging against fresh white walls, each garment is understated but tasteful. The Regard dress ($305) has an impeccable fit with its belted waist and quilted detailing, and the blush-and-blue palette in the Retrouvaille dress ($375) is just the pop of color we need on blisteringly cold days.
We picked up a beige wool Suzette sweater ($235) with an Amélie-like Peter Pan collar and fell for a color-blocked leopard-print silk scarf ($165) in the accessories corner. But our best find within the simplistic boutique was the straight-fitting Macadam coat ($860). With a stately fur collar, sublime leather details and adorable raspberry hue, this sophisticated number makes a trip to the cleaners feel like a stroll through the City of Lights.
