By now, you've surveyed the sidewalk Christmas-tree purveyors and calculated exactly how far you'll have to lug that evergreen from the streets to your living room. If visions of sappy fingers, sore joints and a floor covered in needles are enough to make you feel like old Ebenezer, take a load off this year with Tyler's Trees.
The brainchild of two young marketing executives, Tyler's Trees specializes in the delivery and setup of fresh Christmas trees throughout the city. Trimmings not withstanding, the farm-to-foyer process couldn't be easier. First, select your size: The Fraser firs range from four to eight feet; the price ($99 to $259) includes Manhattan delivery ($30 extra for outer boroughs), tree stand, skirt and setup.
You'll then be prompted to pick the delivery time frame and, if the spirit moves you, extras like lights or wreaths ($25). The company's clean-cut pros will be at your doorstep the next day and, for another $30, will swing by at the end of the holidays to discard your tree and store your stand and skirt until next year.
This is the Christmas miracle we've been waiting for.
