A cocktail bar that slings boozy desserts
Pssst...there's a Manhattan in that cookie.

First there were cupcakes. Then ice cream. Even jam. When it comes to alcohol-infused treats, we thought we’d seen it all.

That is until we heard the phrase “dessert speakeasy” and promptly hightailed it to Spirited, a new Prospect Heights haunt that delivers drinks in the form of cookies, cakes, pies, pastries, lollipops...oh yeah, and cocktails.

Owner Kimberly Wetherell and her team of “baketenders” whip up goodies that are not only delicious but also completely unexpected. Tequila-sunrise upside-down cake? Yes, please. Dark-and-stormy ginger snaps? Sure. Vanilla-vodka faux-reos? Oh, dear god.

Every single confection contains booze.

But beyond its crazy-indulgent sweets, Spirited is also a charming, old-school spot to imbibe with friends (birthdays, special occasions, Tuesdays). Expect original tin ceilings, a gleaming 15-seat bar and a dedicated bakery area to grab to-go treats on your way out.

Good luck making that takeout last till tomorrow.
