It wouldn?t be a ring roundup without a nod to indie darling Catbird. The Williamsburg boutique is a one-stop shop for a healthy stack in various sizes and widths. From the thinnest gold band at $44 to a crisscross design at $326 (and plenty in between), you have an array of options to play around with. Just maybe visit on a long lunch break--the weekend crowds are pure madness.

A couple of years ago, the longtime downtown jeweler opened a shop around the corner from Catbird. And the two aesthetics couldn’t work better together. Verameat sells dainty, dotted gold bands, which are great for adding texture to a stack ($62 each), but the statement-making dinosaur claws ($90) are what really command attention.

For a more varied stack, look to this Greenpoint-based designer. Her boutiques in Nolita and Boerum Hill are stocked with both fine jewelry (the sweetest engagement rings) and lower-priced pieces under $200. Her infinity-knot midi rings (which start at $35) are always a solid choice, but her one-of-a-kind antique rings are what your kooky manicure really needs.

But if you need to test-drive the trend before fully committing, we love Topshop’s foolproof ring packs ($20). Sure, they tarnish nearly immediately, but it’s an excellent starting point.

Hello, August. You?re hot.
Luckily, the accessories trend du jour fits perfectly with a rotating wardrobe of tents. And that is a pretty little ring on nearly every finger.
Surely you?ve seen them all over town--those thin gold bands resting just above the knuckle, mixed in with a statement piece or two. The look is feminine and chic, and best of all, it won?t weigh you down.
