Strut Your Stuffing
Where to get your turkeys, sides and pies
Your grandmother may have made her stuffing from scratch, her pie from real pumpkins and practically slaughtered her own turkey. You, however, are a sensible woman who appreciates outside help. Here, a few suggestions for where to get your Thanksgiving staples:
Turkeys Eataly lovers, rejoice: The foodie superstore is offering fully prepped heritage turkeys ($5.80 a pound) with cooking instructions upon request. Preorder at the meat counter or e-mail email@example.com.
Sides Stop by City Bakery before November 19 to nab your Thanksgiving basics: stuffing, cranberry sauce, corn bread, etc. Or get creative with meat-pie tourtières ($30) from the former owners of Quebecois diner M. Wells, who are accepting orders now (email firstname.lastname@example.org) for Saturday pickup at the Brooklyn Smorgasburg.
Pies Though we're always fans of 'Wichcraft's Thanksgiving pecan, pumpkin and apple-crumb pies ($26), we're particularly excited about West Village newcomer Doughboy's Thanksgiving pies ($35) and pumpkin-pie cupcakes ($4)--to be ordered by November 21.
Full Meals Take care of the entire evening in one fell swoop with a full spread from Épicerie Boulud ($400 for eight to ten servings; order by November 19). And behold as your holiday stress level hits a refreshing low.
