Good taste is all in the editing, and perhaps no shopping site is as aesthetically tight as La Garçonne.
The New York-based buyers have been schooling us all in androgynous chic for the last nine years, but now you can finally experience the tomboy utopia in real life.
Its spanking new Tribeca boutique fills industrial-pipe racks with a healthy mix of covetable brands (from the household name Band of Outsiders to the emerging designer Zucca). But tying everything together is the site?s minimalistic private label, La Garçonne Moderne, which resembles The Row in cutting-edge style but Elizabeth and James in price (about $350 for a dress, rather than $1,300).
Maybe you?re only looking to supplement your wardrobe with a few key pieces. (Maison Martin Margiela is never not a good idea.) Or perhaps you need some advice on a solid look to take you through September. (?Nordic angel? seems nice.)
Either way, you?ll feel cooler just by being around so many culottes.
