Solid Perfumes
Top: Bond No. 9, Estee Lauder Youth Dew Cameo, Bottom: Diptyque, Burt's Bees

If it's been a while since you've updated your scent, here's what you've missed: Solid perfumes, which are back in a big way.

These spill-proof, purse-portable fragrances are easy to apply and - since they're available in many styles and price ranges ? easy to adore and amass.

We've long loved Paris-based Diptyque for their chic solid offerings. Their newest, Do Son ($45) mixes tuberose and berries with iris and white musk for a light, dewy sent that's perfect through the spring.

As with their liquid predecessors, sometimes the packaging is as irresistible as the perfume itself. Proof: The new Bond No. 9 vintage-inspired token compact ($85), which can be filled (and refilled) with your choice of solid perfumes. Our favorite scent, "Wall Street," is spicy and citrussy and great for everyday office-to-dinner transitions.

For more special occasions, try Estée Lauder's limited edition Youth Dew Cameo ($89), which has a sexy, floral fragrance and is gorgeous enough to be mistaken for a vintage heirloom.

And on those days when you're feeling less vamp and more au naturale, there's Burt's Bees' new line of solid perfumes ($10), which are all-natural and boast earthy, subtle notes like jasmine and vanilla.
