The coolest cashmere now comes from Germany
Remember how crazy you went over those très chic designs from the new French company Sézane? The collection transported you right to the Champs-Élysées, and it’s safe to say there’s nothing quite like the mystique of a foreign label.
Here to take you on your next sartorial adventure is Iris von Arnim.
Hailing from Germany, this über-cool designer has created the loveliest knit collection we ever did see. With a focus on cashmere (in fact, Von Arnim was the first to introduce luxury cashmere to Germany back in 1980), her designs are timeless yet offer a hint of unexpected construction. Exhibit A: This cashmere aviator jacket--beyond.
Now, to the delight of our closets, Von Arnim has launched her very first e-shop. Much like Sézane’s website, Von Arnim’s site is in her native tongue (you can easily switch from German to English at the top left corner), but the prices are in USD and all shipping information is clearly spelled out.
We’ll admit, the costs are a tad exorbitant. But unique styles like this oriental-printed cashmere dress and this flouncy circle skirt are worth the splurge. Simply can’t swing it? Then settle in for some “window” shopping (the exquisite styling of the fall/winter look book could send anyone swooning).
Just don’t blame us when your voyeurism lands you aboard Lufthansa.
