Bespoke fashion sites are good in theory. (Who doesn’t want to design her own bomber jacket?) But their offerings are often super-limited--to the point that your “one-of-a-kind” design ends up looking like everybody else’s.

Shoes of Prey is proving us wrong. The newbie site for personalized footwear not only has a killer assortment of stunning and insanely practical styles but also lets you have a say in every part of the design process.

Getting started is simple: First, choose a shape (ballet flat, oxford, stiletto, etc.). Then pick your preferred heel height (the options extend to a whopping six inches). Once you have the basics, play around with more than 170 add-ons and materials, like plush zebra hair or midnight-blue silk.

Prices start at $129 and increase according to your extras, though most pairs won’t exceed $300. Once you’re satisfied with your design, it will be handmade by a world-class cobbler and shipped to your doorstep (for free!) in three to five weeks.

Oh, and if you’re not 100 percent in love with the finished product, you have a year to send it back for a full refund or do-over.

Not that we’d ever return our snakeskin-toed suede oxfords, mind you.
