After years of business trips and a few whirlwind vacations, we've racked up some well-earned miles. Unfortunately, managing them all is a pain.
Enter MileWise, a new, free site that tracks all your frequent-flier miles and credit-card rewards points in one place.
Simply browse its database of programs and provide the usernames and passwords for those you participate in. (It'll never share your info.) After that, the world is your oyster.
Say you're searching for a flight to Rome but aren't sure whether to use miles, credit-card points or cash: Enter your flight details, and MileWise will generate a list of ways to pay (e.g., getting to the Eternal City could cost 30,000 Delta SkyMiles, 55,000 American Express points or $850).
Results are scored on a 100-percent scale (the higher the rating, the better the value), which also takes into consideration the rewards you can earn when booking a flight; buying the $850 ticket could garner hundreds of points toward, say, a business-class ticket to Honolulu.
After you've booked your trip, MileWise will recommend ways to use your remaining points. (We hear Kuala Lumpur is lovely this time of year.)
You'll be flying high in no time.
