Thanks to highbrow designer collaborations, a style-setting creative director and an upcoming, first-ever show at New York Fashion Week, J. Crew has shrugged off its boxy cardigans and flannel chinos to become an arbiter of American luxury.

While we can't get enough of the label's oppulent basics and Windsor-like jewelry, the by-products of partnerships with big beauty names are currently at the top of our shopping lists:

J. Crew's catalog models look preternaturally fresh thanks to a coral-red lipstick that's blended at photo shoots. Now, after endless customer requests, the brand has teamed with makeup maven Poppy King to create an unbelievably flattering, persimmon-colored lipstick ($18).

Similarly, Scandinavian cosmetics giant Face Stockholm recently released a line of bold nail lacquers based on J. Crew's most covetable fall colors. We can't wait to get our hands on Hot Pepper ($10), a fire-engine red polish that makes pedicures pop.
