The founders of the beloved NYC-based Physique 57, which has been sculpting its devotees’ bodies since 2006, have recognized the mass appeal of their calorie-torching, muscle-toning workouts. To make their sought-after exercises available to everyone (not just celeb fans like Kelly Ripa), they've launched an online streaming program so you can get trim and slim virtually anywhere.
To access the workouts on your computer, tablet or phone, go to the Physique 57 website and purchase either a 30-minute ($5) or 57-minute ($7) class, which will be available for 24 hours. (You can also buy a month of unlimited access for $57.)
In addition to two of the popular training sessions already offered on DVD, cofounder Tanya Becker created a new 30-minute Focused Interval Training class that targets trouble spots like the thighs and triceps. Longtime teacher Chanelle Lagace developed Physique Cardio, another 30-minute program that’s filled with fat-blasting moves.
A sampling of the two new online programs left us breathless and fairly sore the next day. Two signs of a well-spent workout, as far as we’re concerned.
