Lovisa Burfitt’s porcelain collection is our cup of tea
Whether decorating walls of H&M stores in Milan and restaurants in her native Sweden, or establishing a clothing line lauded for its avant-garde silhouettes, fashion illustrator Lovisa Burfitt's distinctive style is part urban-chic and part fairy tale (it reminds us of a grown-up Eloise).
Now we can keep her imaginative renderings in our cupboards: Burfitt's five-piece collaboration with porcelain company Rörstrand--supplier of the Swedish Royal Court's dinnerware--includes a mug, espresso cup, saucer, cake dish and bowl. The pieces artfully depict the eccentric Mademoiselle Oiseau (a character inspired by a watercolor Burfitt painted in Paris).
We love the dainty details on the cake dish ($69), which features elegant script on its base. If you want coffee or tea with your sweets, this adorable mug ($20) is a perfect partner, and we plan on stowing after-dinner candies in this bowl with accompanying lid ($69).
Dessert is stylishly served.
