Raising the Bra
The lingerie department goes online
From grabby salesladies to unflattering mirrors to outlandish prices, bra shopping is kind of the worst. Hence why we’ve been known to re-wear the same stretched-out (and safety-pinned) Maidenform for years on end.
Luckily, there’s now another option for the lingerie-department shy: the recently launched online bra-fitting boutique True & Co.
If the idea of a virtual bra fitting sounds bizarre to you, you’re not alone. We too were dubious of the site’s online quiz that purports to determine size. This said, the quiz is weirdly accurate, asking you to supply answers about your breast shape, best-fitting bras and typical cup-related woes. The site then offers up bra recommendations (from brands like Natori and Calvin Klein) accordingly.
After getting your bra diagnosis, select five of True & Co’s personalized suggestions to be sent to your home and test-drive them for seven days. At the end of the week, you can keep the ones you like (all are $45) and send back the rejects free of charge.
You can easily reorder any bras you love online and True & Co will keep track of your preferences when making future recommendations.
Now that’s what we call quality support staff.
