A new source for unique paper goods
Remember the magical day a few years ago when you discovered Etsy? Remember how many macramé throw pillows you cooed over and how many vintage handkerchiefs you ordered en masse?
Now you can experience that joy again--only this time in the area of printed goods--courtesy of Minted, a new online store for finding artisan-designed stationery, cards, invitations, journals and more.
Think of Minted as the friendly middleman between graphic designers and consumers. The site hosts monthly challenges for printed goods (up now is the "Thanks a Million” thank-you card challenge). Visitors then vote for their favorites and Minted adds the winners to its ever-growing online marketplace.
Search by categories like save-the-date, business stationery and birth announcements, or just click around to find designers whose stuff you love. We’re absolutely smitten with these silhouette calling cards ($30 for 25), for instance.
Though such traditional paper goods are the Minted team’s bread and butter, they’ve also just added custom and limited-edition art ($25 to $500) to their offerings.
Hello, twee kitchen print: We’re sure we can find wall space for you.
