Spring’s coolest new running gear
Finally: Spring is in the air (or at least it's on the calendar), and along with the crocuses, we've noticed some great new running gear that has us thoroughly pumped to get back on the road.
We haven't seen much sun yet, but we'll be ready when it arrives thanks to Mizuno's new visor ($17), which wicks away sweat while deflecting powerful UV rays. These wraparound Oakleys ($220) are also smart on sunny days--the feather-light polarized lenses minimize glare, and the durable rimless frame is guaranteed to hold up, even on the most demanding runs. Plus, they're chic enough to wear to your post-workout brunch.
If you're looking to put your best foot forward, we suggest Stella McCartney's stylish, new Adidas sneaker line. All three pairs of kicks ($140 to $180) feature breathable mesh and solid mid-sole support, but our favorite is the super-light (and bright) Apheliotes.
This year's buzziest product, however, has to be the Nike + SportWatch GPS ($290), which goes on sale any day now. Combining Nike's trademark shoe sensor technology with advanced GPS, the watch helps you keep track of long-term training goals and progress by measuring everything from pace and distance, to heart rate and calorie burns.
