Rx Marks the Spot
How to make drugstore apps work for you
Prescription refills As much as we love screaming "anti-itch medication!" over the phone, there's now an easier way to renew prescriptions. Most drugstore apps (including CVS, Target and Rite Aid, to name a few) allow you to scan your physical Rx label for automatic refills. Also useful is the ability to access your prescription history and transfer medications to alternate store locations with just a few taps.
Photo printing We've got to hand it to Walgreens for making it super easy to turn our smartphone photos into glossy prints. After downloading the company's free app, just send pics to your local in-store photo lab for pickup within the hour.
Weekly circulars All of the aforementioned apps also allow you to browse the stores' weekly circulars to see sale items before you shop and, in certain instances, download and redeem mobile discounts. Coupon clippers, rejoice.
