Get the Boot
One great look at any price
We know there's more to life than shoes.
But we reconsidered when we saw this season's adorable (and well-worth-the-cost, if you can swing it) Chloe Terry Kid ankle boots ($750). We love the simple, flat heel (comfort!), the versatile, Peter Pan fold-over, the subtle wrap-buckle and the caramel-butter color-combo.
Still, it's probably a good thing--for our wallets and our sanity--that great style knows no specific price tag. Case in point: these best bets for channeling the Chloe look on any budget.
Under $300 Loeffler Randall's Meg Fold Over ($288) has the same bone color and soft toe as the Chloe, with a slight wedge and back zipper for added sleekness. Or, if it's the Terry heel and hardware you like so much, try the menswear-inspired Jump Boot ($220) from Joe's Jeans.
Under $200 Madewell's Back Roads Bootie ($198) also has a boy-meets-girl aesthetic, with a shorter take on the floppy fold-over. Meanwhile, Topshop's Ankle Riding Boot ($135) doesn't actually fold over at all, but suggests the Chloe's shape, color and sophisticated side-buckle.
Under $100 Authentic leather boots in the double-digit price range--who knew? Wear these Transits ($56) straight up or folded over, for two Terry-boot-homage looks in one.
