How buttoning up can slim you down
New York-based designers Elizabeth Thurer and Lisa Daniel have put the kibosh on tummy rolls and errant bra lines with their new slenderizing blouses. Combining smoothing spandex with soft cotton, the Elizabeth Daniel brand consists of four top-quality, body-conscious shirts that are ultraflattering on their own and never bunch under sweaters and jackets.
The crisp Tuxedo shirt ($138) looks just right tucked into work trousers--show off the French cuffs when sporting it at night--and the sweatproof Sleeveless ($110) is a must for warm-weather vacations. Most versatile is the Classic button-down ($123): Paired with jeans or peeking out of a cardigan, it beautifully conceals and slims those trouble areas we've previously covered up with bulky button-downs.
Most impressive: Every shirt is washer and dryer safe. We haven't seen a garment this nice without a "Dry Clean Only" tag since the jersey dress.
