Leave it to two brainiac Los Angeles architects to come up with a reason for us to never go indoors again.
We’re referring to the new Scout Regalia Outdoor Table Set, a table and two benches that are made with ribbons of redwood or white oak and powder-coated aluminum. The best part is, since each set is made to order, you can get it in your choice of 210 colors. So how about these lemon-yellow tables to go with your Meyer lemon crop? Or maybe a touch of flame red to sit under your Japanese maple?
Designed by Benjamin Luddy and Makoto Mizutani, two graduates of the prestigious Southern California Institute of Architecture, these pieces are as eco-sensitive as a compost heap (but about a hundred times more attractive).
We’re about to take the plunge, if only we could decide on a hue.
