Without Walls brings style to hiking
It’s one of Los Angeles’s singular workout pleasures--the hillside hike. And now we don’t have to hit the dirt looking like a lost yogi or an overearnest mountaineer anymore, thanks to Without Walls.
The brand is affiliated with Urban Outfitters (Without Walls' first retail space is a pop-up shop in the Cahuenga Urban store) and sells all kinds of workout wear, but we’re especially loving its trail getups. Here’s what you can wear on your favorite hike:
Will Rogers State Park Time to go Palisades-preppy. These checked shorts ($64) are Bermuda-length with a bit of stretch and lots of pockets.
Griffith Park Observatory You’re in Silverlake, so you might want to look a little more fashionable. To walk among the hipper-than-thou locals, try this lightweight nylon ikat-print poncho ($124).
Runyon Canyon This three-mile loop is de rigueur for entertainment-industry types. Pair galaxy-print running shorts ($38) with an iPhone-ready armband ($24) in case you meet a useful contact along the trail.
