Animal, vegetable, mineral: We're toughening up our look for fall with a few well-chosen pieces of wildlife-inspired jewelry from Roseark.

We've long admired Roseark's carefully curated collection of jewelry and accessories at its flagship North Crescent Heights store, but since that location is appointment only, we appreciate the newly opened Santa Monica location for keeping regular shop hours.

Some of the best-looking pieces reference southern California's love of its coastline, such as shark-tooth earrings in 18-karat yellow gold with rose-cut diamonds ($700) by Elisa Solomon.

Mountain wildlife is another theme, including earrings from Lauren Wolf made with blackened fangs ($115)--thankfully, fabricated--and Aida Bergsen's statement-making sterling-silver-and-quartz claw ring ($625). Most conversation worthy, Bones and Feathers Collective has created a large vertebrae brass necklace ($365).

At the store and online, we're repeatedly revisiting lots of designs, including the Roseark-brand classic rosebuds in rose gold with diamond pavé and a center stud ($2,000) or the 18-karat leaves ring by Daniela Swaebe ($4,400).

Whether subtle or striking, these jewelry pieces have us going a little wild.
