Socks on our wish list
Frankly, here in Los Angeles we don?t often think about our cold-weather essentials since it?s 70 degrees most of the year. But winter?s coming, and with it, parties and get-togethers where you?ll be asked to leave your shoes by the door. Here are some trendy threads so you can step out in style.
Ombré: These pastel dyed Rasox ($30) are engineered in Japan to mimic the way your foot and leg connect, so there?s less ankle bunching. (Which you didn?t even know was an issue.)
Fair Isle: These Chup brand socks ($19) are sold in a trendy La Brea sneaker store, so we know they are cool. Besides, who doesn?t love a preppy knit?
Tie Dye: We envision these supersoft bamboo socks, hand-dyed by a SoCal batik artist, with pumps to subvert their hippie heritage.
Mismatched: Because matching is so millennial. Alternating colorways ($20) are the way to walk into 2014.
Indigo-Dyed Socks: Why do you need to spend $35 on navy blue socks that just blend into denim? Because they?re Japanese-made, indigo-dyed and their lightweight cotton blend won?t bulge under the skinniest jeans.
