Cone bras and corsets we’re lusting over
When Vogue puts Marilyn Monroe on its cover, you know there's a fashion sea change going on. From high fashion to the high street, we're seeing fuller bosoms, more rounded hips and hourglass silhouettes.
But to get this curvy look, we need more shaping than the usual bra-and-undies combo. So we're turning to U.K.-based lingerie brand What Katie Did. Its new Melrose Avenue shop--the first in the States--is one-stop shopping for throwback glamour.
We love the Glamour Corselette ($95), a polyester-mesh body slimmer touted as stronger than Spanx. It's certainly sexier, with satin panels, an underwire bra and a well-engineered body that make tight dresses and bias-cut gowns fit smoothly.
Unlike most lingerie stores, What Katie Did has a 28-day return-with-tags policy. But we don't think you'll need it, especially if you remember to wear a clingy dress when trying these undergarments on--they left us looking better and feeling sexier than anything this side of a cocktail.
