We’re guilty of spending hours browsing online craft emporium Etsy. (Next to Pinterest, it’s our favorite place to find all things beautiful.) Now we’re taking our love of crafts to the next level with a weekend conference that’s not about shopping, but making.

At Craftcation Indie Business and DIY Conference, it’s not just the manufacturing of product but the marketing as well. In between sessions as varied as knitting and caramel-making, there are workshops on how to sell the things you’ve already made--as well as daily cocktail parties for networking.

The conference, which has so many sessions that it can be tailored to confirmed hobbyists as well as budding Martha Stewart empire-builders, runs for four days beginning March 21 and costs $335. But you can opt for a $165 one-day pass, too.

It’s worth taking the day off for the Friday lineup, which features more than 34 sessions including a 9 a.m. master class in seasonal Italian cooking from restaurateur Evan Kleiman, a 1:30 p.m. class in making a retro-cool macramé plant hanger (trust us) with Cathy Callahan and, later in the afternoon, sessions in branding, pricing and getting your work published. We can’t wait to work with our hands.
