Moon Canyon Design wreaths displayed at Storefront Bazaar, the downtown pop-up shop open through December.
Teardrop-shaped glass Christmas tree ornaments make clever hanging terrariums once the holiday season is past.
In addition to its ready-made wares, Moon Canyon Design will custom-make an arrangement within 24 hours.
Hark, holiday lovers: Moon Canyon Design florists produce wreaths, garlands and arrangements so beautiful that they make us feel as warm and fuzzy as a mug of mulled cider.
Floral designer Kristen Caissie and business partner Amy Lipnis have been sought after for weddings since starting Moon Canyon in 2010, but this is the first year they?ve branched into holiday arrangements.
?Wild and natural? is Caissie?s credo for wreaths ($45 to $95) that eschew traditional red velvet and holly for bits of off-center leather and dark velvet. Cording sets off brown-backed magnolia leaves in one wreath, while another has a simple spiral of loose evergreen tied with indigo cloth. Moon Canyon wreaths keep their good looks throughout the season, or longer if dried.
You can buy Moon Canyon wreaths as well as bulb gardens ($25 to $55), terrarium ornaments (from $35), cedar-and-pine garlands ($10 a foot) and more at the Echo Park Craft Fair this weekend. If you can?t make the fair, you can still buy items all month at a pop-up shop in the same location, where Caissie promises a 24-hour turnaround for special orders.
