A new facial erases worry
At the Spa at the Beverly Wilshire, facialists are turning old-world pampering into something futuristic with a new high-science line of products and a brand-new electric face-lift device.
First, the products: Natura Bissé is a Barcelona-based skin-care line that's the go-to brand at top European spas. Products like the The Cure cream ($210) and Diamond Bio Lift ($155) not only feel great, they target specific issues such as detoxification and loss of skin tone using proprietary formulas.
Next, the gadget: The popular face-firming device NuFACE, whose home model we love for its ability to firm our face and neck, has come out with a new Trinity model, which is used at the spa. It has larger electric-pulse-emitting nodes, as well as attachments for blue and red lights, which stimulate collagen production and reverse acne, respectively.
In our 90-minute treatment ($330), we were happy to enjoy the relaxing, hydrating feel of Natura Bissé's cleansers, toners and serums followed by 10 minutes of facial massage with the NuFACE device. Not only was it relaxing, but we instantly saw its effects--and halfway through the treatment, our aesthetician paused to show us how one side of our face was a few millimeters higher than the other side. Talk about looking rested!
Note to self: Going forward, facials instead of naps.
