Austrian symbolist painter Gustav Klimt inspired several designs, including this colorful Hoffnung bracelet.
So we're excited to shop at Frey Wille (pronounced fry-ville), which just opened its Rodeo Drive flagship. The venerable Austrian brand, better known in Europe than in the States, is the source for exquisite enamel bracelets (from $885), pendants and earrings made from 14k and 18k gold overlaid with intricate patterns.
Its collections are sophisticated and art-based, inspired by everything from Gustav Klimt to modern art. The latest collection is the Magic Sphinx, which incorporates the company's winged sphinx logo into ivory, turquoise, royal-blue, coral and white-pearl pieces. And there are new bangle watches (from $3,130), in which carefully layered enamel shares space with timepieces, as well as evening bags (from $2,880).
The new 1,000-square-foot shop is more opulent than the shuttered Santa Monica store; its neutral palette is dotted by vitrines holding bright treasures as well as couches and lighting shipped in from Vienna. From the luxe shopping experience to the unique pieces, we're bullish on collecting Frey Wille; like fine art, we'll be passing it down to future generations.
