We've discovered a furniture shop with some swinging decor. We're not just talking about brightly recovered midcentury vintage pieces or Lucite furniture collected by Frank Sinatra. We mean literally swinging--as in a hand-knotted leather-and-cherrywood indoor swing seat ($895) that's caused drive-by bottlenecks on Melrose.

It's just one of the eclectic delights from interior designer Jennifer Ridel at Community & Co., a bright loft space that opened last year as a one-stop shop for SoCal interiors.

There, decorators breeze through sourcing one-of-a-kind vintage pieces reupholstered in nubby textiles, like the pink Fenix chair ($2,895). Clients of Ridel's interiors firm get inspiration. And homeowners stop by to browse two loft rooms full of furniture and accessories, from a pair of striped-shade twin lamps ($4,895) to marble grapes (from $275) and a Lucite tic-tac-toe set ($1,495) by Lucite pioneer Charles Hollis Jones, who made works for Johnny Carson, Lucille Ball and Ol' Blue Eyes.

We lust after sleek pieces commissioned from local furniture makers, like an elongated leather ottoman ($2,195), a sleek blue banquette ($1,895) and a curved sofa covered in smart black-and-white stripes ($3,925)--our idea of community organizing.
