Designer Sunjoo Moon worked for noted fashion designers in Paris before going out on her own and launching her Los Angeles-based line Of Two Minds.
It's easy to see her experience in the City of Lights echoed in the garments designed in the City of Angels. The designer says she seeks to bring together opposites such as those two cities, expressed by mixing gossamer chiffons with nubby fabrics, and billowing silhouettes with tailored separates.
To which we say: No explanation necessary. You had us at your fall fashion show, in which models walked elegantly among the olive trees in the SoHo House's garden room. They wore '70s-sexy silk blouses, beaded jackets and swirling patterned dresses that recall the glory days of Emanuel Ungaro.
While waiting for her spring line, we're shopping her fall collection at local stores such as Nordstrom, Blue and Heist in Venice. It's there we found our favorite boho-glamour piece from Of Two Minds--a coyote-fur collar, a warm and luxurious update to the lightweight winter coats and jackets we already wear.
We're sure such rugged luxe would wow them even in Paris.
