Farm-to-table eating--been there, done that. But what about farm-to-table bouquets?
That’s the story with Flower Muse, the Los Angeles-based company that delivers cut flowers that stay fresh longer. It operates its own farms around the globe, eliminating the middleman so the company can ship flowers to your door within four days of purchase. (Translation: Blooms haven’t sat around some warehouse wilting before they get to you.)
Bouquets begin at $60, and you get more quality for your money than with most florists. First of all, there are no filler flowers like baby’s breath and ferns--you just get the blooms you’ve ordered. And second, dozens of varieties are on offer, from chocolate anthuriums to white Veronica flowers, which are carefully wrapped in paper and boxed, ready for you to arrange upon arrival.
Because let’s face it--we all have our favorite vases and ways we like to fix our blossoms. But if we want tips on a new look, we can follow one of Flower Muse’s DIY tutorials.
