An organic facial plumps skin naturally
During the busy holidays, we need a pampering facial for relaxation (and to fake looking rested). So we're scheduling face time with our newest pals, the aestheticians at the Spa @ Equinox.
They've just launched a 60-minute facial using products from Tata Harper, a Colombian-born beauty who created her toxin-free line after her stepfather was diagnosed with cancer, and doctors recommended he use products free of synthetics. After years of research and development, Harper now sells more than a dozen face, body and aromatherapy products. (Full disclosure: We apply Aromatic Stress Treatment oil whenever we're stuck in traffic.)
Harper sources ingredients from her own 1,200-acre organic farm in Vermont; you can practically smell dew evaporating off flowers when your facialist spritzes you with rose, orange blossom and lavender mist after an exfoliation and a pomegranate-infused clay mask. Applications of botanical-rich antiaging serum, eye cream and a final replenishing nutrient concentrate leave skin plumped up and smelling like--well, a rose.
The heady fragrance, our post-facial visage, memories of heavenly hand and foot massages during our mask: All together, it's our idea of a great seasonal tonic.
