Off to the Laces
Italian-made shoes with country-club charm
Ever notice how European women look pulled together no matter how casual the affair? Besides white jeans and scarves, their sartorial secret is killer loafers--after all, the Italians don?t even have a word for flip-flops.
Now we?re getting that Continental-cool look from Carlo Pazolini, a new boutique full of Italian-made shoes. We love the suede loafers ($345), which are easier to slip on than our favorite sneakers, but we?re also pretty head over heels for the rubber-soled driving moccasins ($275).
The top-floor Beverly Center shop--the brand?s first outpost on the West Coast--is jam-packed, but skip the men?s styles and sky-high sandals and make a beeline to the rear right area, where you?ll find the loafers, ballet flats ($165), tasseled flats ($195) and lace-up oxfords in metallic buttery leather ($285).
Looking bellissima has never been so comfortable.
