It?s true: We depend on preassigned seating and other pampering amenities at the ArcLight Dome. But this movie-mad town just upped its game with a theater that?s the next best thing to Brett Ratner?s screening room.
Introducing iPic, Westwood?s new six-screen multiplex with lots of luxe extras.
First off, take a pre-movie stroll through the sleek brass-and-wood lobby. There you can opt for a sit-down nouveau-Italian dinner at Tanzy or stop by Tanzy Express, which has its own menu of freshly prepared to-go items like sliders with caramelized onions ($18) and cocktails to enjoy at your seat.
About those seats: You can go for premium ($19), which gets you an oversized leather chair and side table, or spring for premium plus ($29), which means a plush leather recliner, pillow, blanket and complimentary popcorn. Each premium plus seat is also wired with a button that allows you to discreetly summon waiters, who?ll bring you drinks and food (lobster roll, anyone?) throughout the show.
During a recent screening of Neighbors, we laughed ourselves hoarse--partly due to Seth Rogen?s comedic chops and partly because our cozy blanket and topped-off wine glass made us feel like we were right at home.
