Eau de Summer
Leilani Bishop’s line of portable fragrances
Finding the perfect summer fragrance can be a tricky endeavor: It can’t be too heavy or cloying with all the heat (and sweat), and it has to be beach-bag-friendly so you can go from sand to fete without spillage.
Enter Leilani Bishop’s pretty and portable fragrance oil line--three roll-on scents that emanate the essence of the season in sleek, easy-to-carry vials ($62 each).
Bishop knows a thing or two about capturing the seaside spirit. Born and raised on the island of Kauai, she settled in Amagansett after a successful modeling career—she’s graced the cover of French Vogue and was the deranged prom queen on Hole’s iconic album Live Through This. When it came time for a second act, she combined her love of floral oils and her obsession with old-school glam packaging to create three distinctive single-note scents.
Our fave of the trio, Pikake, has a musky jasmine aroma. The Lilac scent is inspired by the Hamptons, with delicate notes that feel clean on the skin. And the invigorating Orange Blossom is an ode to the Mediterranean. Regardless of which oil you choose, you’ll be remembering this summer way past Labor Day.
