The Hamptons get a full-service concierge for pets
You finally have a list of loving and reliable pet professionals in the city, but where do you and your furry friends turn when you head out east?
The answer: Dr. Cindy Bressler, a vet who cares for the animals of Donna Karan, Kate Hudson and Edie Falco and has just joined forces with Manhattan pet-boutique owner Edward Alava to launch Hamptons Canine Concierge, a new one-stop service for pet care.
The duo has a wide network of providers, all of whom come to you, provided you live somewhere in the Hamptons. HCC will arrange for everything from basics like grooming ($150 to $200) and medical visits ($250) to indulgences like doggy swimming lessons ($75).
Bressler?s pedigree gives her insight into the health benefits of these offerings. Who knew, for instance, that a facial ($125) is helpful in eliminating tear stains and reducing infection and breakout-causing bacteria? Or that canine yoga has the same limbering benefits as the human variety?
HCC will also schedule massage ($150), acupuncture ($200), personal training ($60 an hour) and nutritional consultations ($185) for Fido. But please, don?t ask for spin classes or a juice cleanse.
