Take a luxury bus from Dallas to Austin
We love everything about Dallas (Katy Trail, HP Village, Rangers’ baseball). But every once in a while, we kind of need an Austin getaway. You know: Soak up the sun at Lady Bird Lake, take in the bluebonnets, find out what truly makes “Austin weird.”
Here to get us there in style is Vonlane, a new fleet of luxury motor coaches that’s miles ahead of its Greyhound or Southwest travel brethren.
The Prevost luxury liner has only 16 seats, and there’s no such thing as "the middle," so nobody gets smushed without a window or an aisle. But the best part is definitely the complimentary Wi-Fi (hello, catching up on work and/or Girls) and in-seat power outlets.
So what’s the catch? Well, when Vonlane opens for business on May 5, there will be only four Dallas-Austin departure times per day. Still, with a one-way ticket clocking in at $100, it’s definitely the best-priced luxury ride out of town.
