Austin Eastciders This two-year-old company started by a Brit uses some of the most unique cider apples in the country. From super-rare Hewes and Harrisons to Arkansas Blacks, the apples each have a distinct taste. We?re partial to the Gold Top brew, which is made with more than 40 different bittersweet and ?bittersharp? varieties that are flown across the pond from English orchards. Available at various Austin- and San Antonio-area locations.

Leprechaun Cider Started in Houston just three years ago, this industrious brand was picked up by Whole Foods Market right out of the gate. By partnering with an Oregon orchard, Leprechaun is able to offer four varieties of cider: Golden, Dry, Strawberry and Pomegranate. We love the latter, an excellent blend of tart and sweet. Available at area Whole Foods Market stores.
