Are they texting about their LUBLU textiles?

She?s just your average SMU coed--except she?s a Russian heiress who?s built a fashion empire.

Meet Kira Plastinina, a young woman who makes another fashionista with local roots look positively lazy.

With 250 teen-focused namesake stores in Russia, she?s banking that there?s a more mature market for her separate high-end fashion line stateside--starting right here in Dallas.

We recently stopped by her just-opened store at The Plaza at Preston Center and found ourselves pretty much in love with her LUBLU collection (which means ?I love you? in Russian, in case you were wondering).

From a yellow knit sweater with intricate detailing ($465) to a vibrantly gem-colored blue-and-yellow print dress ($875), everything here is pretty darn fabulous. Plus, it?s no vanity line: Plastinina designs everything with only one Moscow-based assistant. And last year, she opened a warehouse in Russia, where more than 1,000 of her employees make the clothing.

These are clothes that are hard not to love.
