A Cool, Cool Summer
Organic sunscreen you’ll want to drink in
As the hot, humid days of late June turn into the scorching, humid days of early July, it becomes increasingly harder to get our attention and break us out of our collective lethargy. (Plus, our thighs are sticking to the sofa.)
But a new-to-us organic sunscreen has us sitting up and packing a bag for the pool.
Coola Organic Suncare?s sunscreen spray is everything you thought organic sunscreen was not: It is easily absorbable, smells delicious and comes in adorable packaging.
Local organic beauty blogger Brandie Gilliam just told us about the line and says it eschews harsh chemicals such as petroleum, which can make your skin more susceptible to germs (who knew?), for skin-revitalizing ingredients--97 percent of which are organic--including cucumber, aloe, algae and strawberry extract.
And did we mention the ?flavors?? We?re never ones to turn down a piña colada, so the Sport SPF 30 version is a tropical delight. The Citrus Mimosa sunscreen has a slightly higher SPF of 35 and is equally intoxicating.
Water-resistant up to 40 minutes, this is one sunscreen we?ll happily slather on before diving into the Texan sauna.
