Every so often, we find a purse that’s so on the money it doesn’t matter how much we have to pay for it. We want it now.
So goes our relationship with Kelly White’s debut collection. To see how her satchels and clutches are resonating, look no further than her first-ever trunk show, which was held last week in Austin and sold out in minutes. This week, she previewed her six original styles here at Haven Boutique and a similar frenzy ensued.
And for good reason. The supple satchels ($295 to $495) come in modern, accessible shapes (an over-the-shoulder tote, a mini clutch) and colors we don’t normally associate with a go-to purse--navy, turquoise and coral.
But it’s the subtle detailing (think a small, gold chevron KW logo) and whimsical touches (a bright green lining) that truly made us fall in love.
Our favorite, the Paint the Town tote ($440), features black-and-white lizard-printed leather and geometric lines that appeal to our classic sensibilities.
Since the collection is now mostly sold out at Haven, you’ll have to preorder with White (contact her at email@example.com) to get the goods. But trust us: These bags are definitely worth the wait.
