Food-truck parks are so 2010. The newest food-on-wheels trend: hipster food trucks that park outside your house and cater to your party.

Here, two of our favorites:

Root for the Home Team?s Cuisine Got baseball fever but hate schlepping to the Rangers? stadium? Meet Ballpark Express, the 18-foot-long concession stand on wheels. All the ballpark?s best bets, from hot dogs to nachos, are available; you can even get Boomsticks or Island-Style Chippers (fried potatoes topped with pineapple salsa, bacon, coconut, sweet peppers and a choice of meat) for your curbside party. ($450 covers 20 to 25 people for food and drinks; a two-hour minimum rental is required)

Veg Out If you?re looking for a more healthful alternative, Shiitake Swerve might fit the bill. The Denton-based truck cooks vegan and gluten-free mushroom tacos worthy of the best taquerias. Our pick is the spicy jerk: grilled jerk-seasoned shiitake mushrooms with shredded cabbage, green onions and Scotch Bonnet sauce. (Contact the truck for catering prices)
