We?re all for a yoga practice that keeps us centered and leaving the studio with good intentions.

But sometimes the discipline skews more ?me? than ?we.?

That?s why we recently brought more than our mats to the six-month-old We Yogis studio in University Park. We also brought the family.

The yoga-for-all center encourages family exercise time by offering classes designed for both parents and children.

Suffice it to say our little ones (ages 3 and 5) enjoyed themselves in the Together Yogis class, which promotes yoga?s most teachable elements and encourages adults to get in a surprisingly heart-pounding workout.

A friendly teacher led us through warrior poses, plank positions and some inversions in the fast-moving hour-long class, while helping the children lie on their tummies and stay on their mats. We even stretched our vocal cords with a rather vociferous version of ?Row, Row, Row Your Boat? (to accompany boat pose, natch).

The kids certainly felt included, which is very much the theme at this modern space (though adults-only boot camp and restorative yoga sessions are also on tap).

Youth yoga classes for different age-groups are also available, as is day care for future yogis (ages 3 months and up).
