The well-traveled designer’s Tibetan-wool creations don’t suffer foolish fads (adios, chevron and your sister ikat!). Instead, these hand-knotted beauties feature abstract patterns derived from far-flung destinations such as Spain…and West Texas.
Waggoner--who’s also an interior designer--values the importance of narrative. Take one of her original designs, the Daniela, which she has updated for her spring collection. While its design is based on a photograph she took in Barcelona, the new version employs blue and white to brilliant effect and is inspired by a Museum of Fine Arts, Boston exhibition.
At $140 per square foot, one of these custom floor dwellers is certainly an investment, but it’s one home-design choice you’ll never regret making.
