An annual catwalk for the sartorially suited
Tomorrow night, we’ll forgo our "meh" movie-and-a-glass-of-wine routine, don our Dallas best (we’re thinking floral pants and a fitted blazer) and head to Trinity Groves for what promises to be the most exciting event of the year for local fashion.
It’s time for The Pin Show, the fifth-annual runway extravaganza that highlights regional designers and does so with jaunty panache, not to mention a giant dose of Texas pride.
More than 20 up-and-comers will be there to show off their designs, ranging from the demure--Oak Cliff’s vintage darling Tracy Popken--to the sophisticated, flow-y visions by Nine Muses (think Jennifer Lopez’s Grammy dress, minus the exposed leg).
Truly, there will be a little something for every fashion maven, curvy clothes and wedding gowns included. And while we’ll take it all in (model-esque) stride, we can’t wait to meet the creatives behind the innovative fashions at a meet and greet (complimentary with admission) after the show.
Tickets are still available and range from $20 for a standing-room-only spot to $400 for a front-row table of four; the event benefits the stellar local organization Café Momentum.
The Pin Show starts at 8 p.m. tomorrow night at the Green Warehouse, 2900 Bataan St., Dallas; thepinshow.weebly.com
